This kitchen design in Annapolis proves that a kitchen remodel can modernize your layout and design features while maintaining the integrity of the home’s history. The Solstice team was inspired by the unique character of this home built over 100 years ago, and salvaged much of the original rustic paneling to incorporate into the new design. We repurposed this paneling into the backsplash for the custom built corner hutch, which also includes glass front cabinets and open shelving. The tapered wood hood with a beadboard accent mirrors the kitchen island detailing, all accented by peacock green granite countertops and a subway tile backsplash. The new hardwood floors were sanded, stained, and finished to blend with the existing hardwood flooring.
